In the application of Acupuncture treatment, thin needles are inserted into the skin at certain depths at specific points according to the disease. Its primary use is to facilitate the flow of qi and blood in the meridians (like electricity passing through a cable) which when becomes stagnant (like a kink in the cable) causes pain. During your acupuncture treatment, 3-10 needles may be used. Most patients complain of no pain rather a tingling feeling at the point which the needles are inserted. All needles are 'single use only' and sterile.
