Hot Stone Massage This deeply relaxing Hot Stone Massage is quite an experience, the unique indulgence that connects you with Mother Earth. It is a magical healing that enables the whole body to finally let go of all stresses held within your body.
The stones used are Basalt stones which are formed from volcanic molten rock and over time have been shaped by the movements of rivers and seas. Using aromatherapy oils the hot stones glide along your body from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head transferring their thermal energy deep into the body and penetrate deep into the muscle preparing the body for deeper work to relieve pain, cramps and spasm. Hot stones can assist in pain management in conditions such as rheumatism and arthritis. The warmth of the stones stimulates the body's organs, expanding the blood vessels which help to move blood faster around the body delivering oxygen and nutrients to the cell. The lymph flow of waste is stimulated releasing toxins stored under muscle fibres which carry away the body’s waste products. Many people find the warmth of the hot stones to be comforting. The stones may be placed at specific points on the body; across on the back, in the palms of the hands, under the neck for warmth or gently wedged between the toes. The stones open up energy pathways to rebalance the body and mind while soothing the nervous system. Stress is dissolved, and blockages are removed reconnecting you to your inner strength. Experience the sacred connection of the stones as they take you into a deeper level of relaxation. Offer your body luxurious hot stones – a gift from Mother Earth. Kahuna Massage Let me take you on a Ka Huna Journey known as an ancient form of Hawaiian bodywork, traditionally performed to honour the body as the temple of the soul. The Ka Huna experience starts when you make the decision to nurture yourself and make the phone call to book this powerful and magical healing. You will be lead into a massage room, an environment that is created with soft candle light to soothe the eyes, aromatic oils dispersed in the air, music softly playing to relax the mind & enhance the spirit. Firstly, you will be consulted regarding the current state of your physical, mental and emotional health so that treatment can be tailored to your specific needs. The treatment begins with you laying on your stomach, draped with a sarong, the practitioner’s hands placed over your heart centre tuning into your energy and body. Undraping the sarong which is placed over your buttocks, aroma oils will be applied over the whole body. Music and the breath are important elements of the Ka Huna experience as both help you to relax and let go. To the pulse of music and breath, the practitioner moves around the massage table in a flowing tai chi style movement, working with the energy while applying soft and deep tissue massage. The hands, forearms and elbows are swept over and under the body, sometimes working both top and under the body at the same time. From the soles of your feet to the crown of your head; the whole body, back and front, is thoroughly worked during an hour to two hour treatment. Ka Huna is more a deeper experience than just a massage, this nurturing blend is a cleansing treatment. It heals the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. In the days following you may experience a range of emotions as energies are still shifting, cleansing and re-balancing. At the end of your massage you will be left feeling in a state of complete harmony and bliss.
