I have decided to include a BOOK REVIEW this newsletter, as I often get asked about the subject of :
“ FOOD ADDITIVES” by Olivia Dyer & Bridy Fulvio
LOW TO NO ADDITIVES… Family Favourites, gives practical recipes as well as good advice on additives and their codes.
This book will educate you on how to read what is actually in a product that you are looking at to purchase, or wanting to avoid to improve the health of yourself or your family.

Here is a sample of one of the recipes included.
SHEPHERDS PIE- serves 4
700g lamb mince (ideally go for organic)
2 onions diced.
25g butter (western Star)
3 tbsp plain flour (white wings organic)
½ tsp mustard powder (Clive of India)
1,1/2 cups of vegetable stock (Massel)
Preheat oven to 210%C.
Lightly grease a deep casserole dish.
In frypan, cook mince and remove from pan. Melt butter in frypan, add onion and cook until transparent. Add mustard and flour to pan and cook for another minute.
Remove pan from the heat and stir in stock until smooth. Return to heat, simmer for 3 minutes.
Add meat to the pan, and stir. Spoon mixture into greased casserole dish.
Topping:
4 large potatoes cooked and mashed.
30 gms butter (western Star)
½ cup hot milk (A2)
Topping-mash cooked potato, mix in milk and butter (season with salt & pepper if desired).
Spread potato over meat mixture. Bake for 45mins
