SPRING CLEAN YOUR LIVER.

With spring almost upon us, no doubt many of us are looking at spring cleaning. Our blossom is showing everywhere, the sun is starting to show through and we are wanting to get out into the warmth, take a walk, breath deep and think of our health.

Throughout winter we tend to eat differently and end up feeling sluggish, tired and lack motivation and energy.

The Liver does an enormous amount of work, it is the processing area for metabolism of food, alcohol, drugs all coming from the digestive tract. The metabolism of fats , proteins, carbohydrates, preservatives, additives, and red blood cells are all broken down into usable forms by the liver. Then either stored for future use in the liver or distributed to the cells of the body, building and maintaining the functions of the cells and organs of the body.

In the past it was very important to cleanse the liver after a winter of poor nutrition with certain foods not available and nutrients being lessened. In todays world we have a wide variety of good food but a lot of people are time poor and opt for quick processed food, making it even more important to do a cleanse. Remember toxins come from what we breathe, drink, ingest and swallow- causing our liver to be sluggish, causing lethargy and headaches.

Here are some suggestions to promote that healthy liver- I wonder if you could do a period (maybe 2 wks, or a month) and look forward to the healthy benefits and energy.
